The Florence Hearing Health Care Promise

At Florence Hearing Health Care, we’ve made a Promise to our team and to our community: our local clinic is a good place to do business because high quality care leads to positive patient outcomes.

The Florence Hearing Promise, as we call it, is closely tied with our mission, directing our clinic operations and guiding our employment practices. We know that happy employees equal happy patients and positive outcomes. It’s all connected.

At Florence Hearing All Are Welcome –

  • We enthusiastically comply with all Federal civil rights laws and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, citizenship, alienage, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or disability.

  • We are committed to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all, and digest and apply feedback from patients when given.

  • We feel passionately about treating hearing loss for a multitude of reasons, including the emotional and physical wellbeing of patients (i.e. social isolation and untreated hearing loss’ strong correlation to cognitive decline). We’re also very aware that many people don’t have insurance benefits for hearing aids and treatment options can be expensive. We strive to ensure that everyone, regardless of financial status, has access to hearing health care – even if it means informing patients of services they can receive elsewhere - and we offer the ability to pay by credit card or through financing programs.

  • We gladly accept MassHealth (Medicaid).

We Are a “No Sales Zone” –

  • We support transparency in hearing health care and educate patients on the services we offer, along with how much hearing loss treatment costs at our clinic. We have a set price list based on the costs of running our business – we don’t build in a margin to put hearing health care on sale.

  • We are open about why we don’t participate in any third party hearing aid benefit plans. These third party payors often limit the number of visits or services provided which does not align with our commitment to following best practices.

  • We provide the information and recommendations – the patient makes their hearing health care decision based on what is best for them, not our bottom line.

We Are A Community Hearing Health Care Resource –

  • We are committed to sharing our knowledge through community and healthcare provider outreach. We are unbiased in our approach, and serve as a genuine hearing health care resource for our community and patients.

  • We support our local community through sponsorships of community care organizations.

  • Our entire team is here to support the patients who choose to work with us through their whole hearing healthcare journey - from explaining what a hearing test is like to finding them the best custom hearing protection for their lifestyle, to helping their brain adjust to hearing sounds again. We build in extra appointment time to allow for these conversations to not feel rushed.

We Are A Responsible Employer -

  • Our salaried staff is empowered to do what is best for the patient, not what brings in the most “sales.”

  • A happy team means happy patients. We prioritize quality of life by offering our staff shortened work weeks, comprehensive benefits and autonomy over their roles.

  • We put family first: As a family owned and operated ourselves, we value the time of our staff and create flexible working schedules and two-way forms of communication.
